2011 Annual Meeting October 15Article published on Thursday, September 15, 2011 Lynches River Electric Cooperative's Annual Meeting of Members is Saturday, Oct. 15 at Central High School in Pageland. Registration and voting begins at 8 a.m. and will continue until 11 a.m. The business meeting starts at 11:30 a.m.The registration card and PHOTO ID ARE NECESSARY to enter the annual meeting and vote. Registration cards are located on the front cover wrap of the October issue of South Carolina Living magazine. Co-op officials will present a report on the business of the cooperative at the business meeting. There is also an election of Trustees for Districts 4 and 5. All members who register at the annual meeting are eligible to vote in the election. The annual meeting will feature fun, food, music and door prizes. Volunteers will sell food throughout the day. Pageland native Marty Vanderlip will provide a medley of musical entertainment from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. All registered members will be entered into the grand prize and door prize drawings. For the first time members will not have to stay for the business meeting or prize drawing to be eligible to win. Health care professionals and local non-profit organizations will provide health screenings and information at the health fair from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Central High School cafeteria. While at the health fair members can learn about Lynches River's programs and services and watch an electrical safety demonstration. Lynches River Electric Cooperative would like to invite all cooperative members to attend. Altman Selected as Alliance Development Council Co-chair 01.31.2012David Altman, president and CEO of Lynches River Electric Cooperative, has been selected as a co-chair on Chesterfield County Economic Development Alliance's Development Council.
2012 Washington Youth Tour 01.16.2012Lynches River Electric Cooperative will award an expense-paid week in Washington, D.C. to two high school junior. This year's Youth Tour is June 16-21. |
