Co-op Announces Rate Reduction

Article published on Thursday, May 27, 2010

Starting in June Lynches River Electric Cooperative members will see a decrease of approximately eight percent in their electric bills. "Our operating cost have come down so we are passing the savings on to our members," says Lynches River CEO David Altman.

Lynches River is able to lower rates due to the cooperative's efforts to streamline operating efficiency to hold down costs without sacrificing service to members. As a non-profit organization there is no reason to charge more than necessary to meet the cooperative's financial obligations.

Lynches River Electric Cooperative is a member-owned electric cooperative committed to delivering reliable electric energy and related services at a competitive price, which will improve the quality of life of its customers and communities.
