WIRE Hosts Auction at Sept. 20 MeetingArticle published on Thursday, September 01, 2011 There will be lots of good natured bantering over an assortment of auction items at the WIRE quarterly meeting Tuesday, Sept. 20 in the training room at Lynches River Electric Cooperative, 1104 W. McGregor St. in Pageland. WIRE members are being asked to search through their homes for items to bring to the WIRE meeting auction. At the meeting WIRE members and guests will have the chance to bid on the unique, whimsical and humerous treasures. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. followed by the business meeting. The auction begins at 7 p.m. WIRE members are encouraged to attend and bring a guest. Outstanding WIRE membership dues will be collected at the meeting. WIRE Opportunity Scholarship for Women 02.10.2012Applications are being taken for a $2,500 scholarship for women awarded annually by WIRE, a community service organization affiliated with electric cooperatives in South Carolina, including Lynches River Electric Cooperative. Altman Selected as Alliance Development Council Co-chair 01.31.2012David Altman, president and CEO of Lynches River Electric Cooperative, has been selected as a co-chair on Chesterfield County Economic Development Alliance's Development Council.
2012 Washington Youth Tour 01.16.2012Lynches River Electric Cooperative will award an expense-paid week in Washington, D.C. to two high school junior. This year's Youth Tour is June 16-21.
