Olivia Ritchie (front, third from left), of North Central High School, was one of 36 South Carolina students that took part in the Cooperative Youth Summit, a four-day journey of their state’s capital and the surrounding area that went beyond the traditional field trip.
The students visited Riverbanks Zoo & Garden, explored electric vehicles, and toured the State House, culminating with a visit inside the Governor’s office.
Ritchie, who was sponsored by Lynches River Electric, was a member of the Soda Pop Co-op governing board and teamed with other students to produce a short-form podcast about the impact her generation can make in their communities.
