2023 Annual Meeting Prize Winners, Elections & More

The following members won a door prize at the annual meeting. To claim your prize, you must present a photo ID and pick up your prize Monday through Thursday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. and Friday between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. at our main office located at 707 S. Arant St. in Pageland. If you won a gift card, it will be mailed to you. Watch the recorded live drawing on YouTube starting at minute 35:00.

Election Results

Mark Bridges for District Five was challenged by qualified petition candidate Billy King. The vote was 204 for Mark Bridges and 204 for Mr. Billy King. Your bylaws provide that in the event of a tie, the election is decided by drawing of lots. The lot drawn was Mr. Billy King.

The 2023 Lynches River Electric Cooperative Annual Meeting will be held via drive-thru on Friday, October 20, and Saturday, October 21 at our cooperative’s headquarters, located at 707 South Arant St. in Pageland. 

Drive-Thru Only Registration & Voting

Friday, October 20

  • 7 a.m.–7 p.m.: Registration & Voting
    The LREC lobby and the drive-thru will be closed on Friday, Oct. 20. NO payments will be accepted at the office.

or Saturday, October 21

  • 7–11 a.m.: Registration & Voting

Saturday, October 21

  • 11:30 a.m.: Virtual Business Meeting via Facebook live at Facebook.com/LynchesRiverElectric
    Prize drawings will be held immediately following the business meeting via Facebook live.

IMPORTANT: You must bring both sides of this card and a photo id with you for registration & voting for registration and voting.

Registration & Voting Instructions

• Voting and registration will be available to members on Friday, Oct. 20 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or Saturday, Oct. 21 from 7 to 11 a.m. Members must be on the Lynches River property no later than 7 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday to be eligible to vote in the board election.

• Members will enter the LREC property through the main entrance on South Arant Street. Employees will be located throughout the route to provide direction to the registration & voting area.

• The LREC lobby and the drive-thru will be closed on Friday, Oct. 20. NO payments will be accepted at the office.

One lucky member will win a $1,000 credit on their electric bill!

Plus, all registered members will be entered for a chance to win one of 10 $100 electric bill credits and lots of other great prizes. The drawings will be held immediately after the virtual business meeting Saturday, October 21 via Facebook Live.

More activities at the Pageland Community Center

WIRE Raffle

Due to limited space at LREC, we will also be in the parking lot at the Pageland Community Center (corner of McGregor and S. Arant streets) selling $1 raffle tickets for 3 chances to win $100 cash.

Proceeds will benefit WIRE, a community service organization that aids people in need. Winners will be announced during the virtual annual meeting.

*Members will receive ONE GIFT per member number. In the event there are several accounts under one name, member will still receive ONE GIFT. Representatives of organizations, including churches and businesses, wanting to pick up registration gifts on behalf of the organization, must present a photo ID and written approval stating the individual’s name on the organization’s official letterhead. Registration gifts will not be available at a later date for members that do not attend the annual meeting.
