“Co-op Colors of Gratitude” coloring contest
Join our coloring/writing contest and let your creativity shine!
Express your gratitude for your electric cooperative by coloring a vibrant masterpiece and sharing what you are thankful for. It’s a chance to celebrate the power of our cooperative and the community it serves. Show your appreciation through colors and words, and you could win exciting prizes while spreading positivity!
Eligibility:
- The coloring contest is open to children in three age groups:
- 3-4 years
- 5-7 years
- 8-10 years
- Submissions must be received by December 1st to qualify.
Submission Guidelines:
Each submission should include the following information on the back of the coloring page:
- Child’s Name
- Child’s Age
- Guardian’s Name
- Address
- Telephone Number
- A few sentences describing what you are most thankful for from your cooperative.
You may download the Colors of Gratitude Coloring Page Worksheet [PDF] to print and color, or grab one from the Lynches River Electric office lobby at 707 S. Arant St., Pageland, SC 29278.
Submissions may be dropped off at 707 S. Arant Street or mailed to P.O. Box 308, Pageland, SC 29728 by the contest deadline.
Coloring Materials: Participants are encouraged to use their own coloring materials, such as crayons, colored pencils, or markers.
Theme: The coloring sheet provided should be themed around “What Are You Thankful For About Your Electric Cooperative?”
Judging Criteria: Entries will be judged based on creativity, originality, and how well they express gratitude for the electric cooperative.
Prizes: One winner in each age group will be announced on Dec. 6th and will receive a $50 Visa gift card.
Notification: The winners will be notified by phone or email, so please ensure the provided contact information is accurate.
Public Display: Winning submissions may be displayed at our electric cooperative’s office and on our website or social media platforms with the child’s first name and age.

What Lights Your Life?
Welcome to “What Lights Your Life?” – a light bulb painting contest. In this unique competition, we invite artists of all ages and skill levels to transform ordinary light bulbs into extraordinary works of art. Get creative and show us what brightens your life with your art! Paint a light bulb to enter and let your imagination shine.
Eligibility:
The painting competition is open to any person who lives in a home serviced by LREC. There is no age limitation. Submissions must be received by December 1st to qualify for the prizes.
Submission Guidelines:
Each submission should include the following information:
- Name
- Telephone Number
- Age
- Address
The bulb must include a way to be hung on our Christmas tree for display purposes. You may choose your own bulb or select one provided by the coop at the LREC office while supplies lasts.
Materials: Participants are encouraged to use paint as their medium when decorating their bulb.
Theme: What LIGHTS your life? This could be a nature scene, a warm holiday memory, or simply what the holiday times mean to you.
Judging Criteria: Entries will be judged based on creativity, theme, and completion of the project following the guidelines outlined above.
Prizes: There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prize awarded of a $75, $50, and $25 Visa gift card.
Notification: The winner winners will be notified by phone or email following the deadline.
Public Display: It is important to include a way to hang your bulb as they will be displayed for the remainder of the holiday season in our lobby on the LREC Christmas tree.
