Operation Round Up was established for members of the Lynches River Electric Cooperative that are facing devastating life experiences such as loss of their home, catastrophic illness, and long-term disabilities.
Operation Round Up is sponsored by the Lynches River Electric Trust, a board of community leaders from Chesterfield, Kershaw, and Lancaster counties, and Lynches River Electric Cooperative.

Here’s How it Works
The electric bills of participating co-op members are rounded up to the next highest dollar each month. The extra cents we collect from each member go into the Operation Round Up fund. The average contribution is approximately $6 per year and is never more than 99 cents per month.
How Money is Used
Operation Round Up funds stay right here in Chesterfield, Kershaw, and Lancaster counties. The money assists with the basic needs of individuals such as food, shelter, clothing, and health care.
It’s Easy to Participate
Lynches River Electric members are automatically included in Operation Round Up, making it easy to start helping right away. If you choose not to participate, or if you want to discontinue your contributions at any time, contact the Lynches River office. We will stop rounding up your bill on your next statement.
