Fiber optic internet will bring a new standard of rural broadband to Lancaster, Chesterfield, and Kershaw counties. With fiber, data can be sent up to 1,000 times faster than traditional copper and the service can reach Gigabit (1000 Mbps) speeds and beyond. The network won’t slow down when streaming on multiple devices or because more people are connected during certain times of the day.

Below is a list of the most commonly asked questions regarding fiber internet service from RiverNet Connect. As always, it has been our mission to serve you, our members, to the best of our abilities.

Fiber FAQ

Q: How do I pay my bill?

A: RiverNet Connect customers have several options to pay their monthly bill. You can pay online by clicking here, by phone at 888-643-1078, or by mail at PO Box 130; Pageland, SC 29728.

Q: Do you have to have a landline for service?

A: No, you will not be required to have a landline for service; however, we will offer phone service and members will have the option to keep their current numbers.

Q: What is the cost?

A: The basic internet package is $59.95 for 300 mbps upload and download. Additional products include voice services, wi-fi boosters and a variety of business packages. Click here for more product information.

Q: When will service be available?

A: We are proud to announce that we connected our first customer in September of 2020! Since then, we have opened several zones for installation. You can view the active zones by clicking the “Zones” tab at the top of the page.

Q: Do you have to be an LREC member to receive service?

A: You do have to be an LREC member to receive service in Phase One. This may change in the future as possible future phases are approved.

Q: Will I be in Phase One?

A: Phase One includes zones in all three counties and spans many different communities. We did our best to try to reach as many members as possible, as efficiently as we could. You can view all the Phase One zones (YELLOW) and all the zones eligible to schedule install appointments (GREEN) at the “Zones” tab at the top of the page. Members should continue to check in on the RiverNet Connect Facebook page and website for updates.

Q: When will Phase One construction begin?

A: Construction is already underway! Phase One construction began on February 3, 2020 and has been moving along nicely since then.

Q: When can I sign up for service?

A: We will notify members on the LREC Facebook page or on this page when they can register for service. At this time, members can pre-register for service by completing a form at RiverNetConnect.com. If you have completed an interest survey, you do not need to pre-register.

If you have a specific question that is not addressed in this FAQ, please contact our RiverNet Connect customer service line at 843-675-3200 Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
