If you are planning to dig or excavate, we ask that you contact the Palmetto Utility Protection Service (South Carolina 811).
You can reach South Carolina 811 by dialing 811 within SC or calling the toll free number (888) 721-7877 anywhere within the US. You can also submit a locate request online. They are available to take your locate requests Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, excluding holidays and are open 24/7 for emergencies.
If you hit an underground utility line while digging, you can harm yourself or those around you, disrupt service to an entire neighborhood and potentially be responsible for fines and repair costs.
